Sunday Still's "BEST OF 2009"

This week’s Sunday Still’s Photo Challenge is to come up with your best shots of 2009. I’ve had my Canon SX10 for over a year now, but I feel that I am just learning to take better picture now.

OOPS...I think we were suppose to pick out photos from our Sunday Still's photo challenges of the year. Ed said that this is "a simple challenge, just pick your 2 favorite pics from the last years challenges and tell why they are your favorites". Not so simple when you don't read directions and you can't just pick 2 photos.

I revised my blog, and here are my 2 best/favorites of what I have done this year:
Horses, head shot of Duke,

I like the black and white of this photo, and not knowing whether the horse is looking towards you or looking away.

I like this photo of my 2 dogs,

Posie and Lady, waiting anxiously to be petted.

My best macro,

the last rose of the season, after a frost.

Otherwise, enjoy the photos of my family, horses, and the scenery that I already had posted!.

One of my favorite, actually was on December 11, 2009, the day after my first grandchild was born,

Makenzie Ruth and my daughter, Sara.
Since 2009 was the year I am becoming more organized, this photo is part of my 2009 shots!

My other favorite is of my grandson,

Caden and his bright blue eyes.

Enjoy the horse photos,
A bright, very cold, -5,
horses grazing as the sun rises,

and some scenery,
windchill of -30, with Sun Dogs,

Starlet looking at me through the snow,

2 new grandbabies, now a year old

Caden and Makenzie

Caden swimming last summer,

Makenzie's babptism in March, 2009,

Even though I did't take this photo, I love this one of Makenzie and I, dressed in an old dress of mine, and one that her mother wore on her babtism also,

My dog's running in the snow,

I love how my Springer Spaniel, Lady's, ears are flopping!

I would appreciate any input that you may have that would have made any of these pictures better. Thanks!

Can't think of a thing that would make them better. Love the horses at sunrise. But, then who doesn't love babies. :):)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I particularly like you picture of the snow-covered horse, and the first "shadow" shot.

Very nice shot with the horse. I like those silhouette shots. The snow pictures look very cold.

That first one is cool. I like that you can't tell which direction the horse is facing.
Fun pictures.

The sundogs are interesting, but the ones of the real dogs and the grandchildren are my faves.
