Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

My hair is the longest it has been since high school, many, many moons ago! 3 1/2 years ago, I didn't cut it as winter was approaching and I always leave it go longer, so I have insulation over my neck. Nebraska winters can be frigid! Then 3 years ago, our son was getting married, and hubby, Tom, suggested I wait until after his wedding to cut it short for summer. Then....after the wedding, hubby Tom made another suggestion. Why not keep it a little longer and put it up under a cap when you are outside. Well, ok. It would be nice to have a little style to my hair again. Another year passed, and it was passed my shoulder blades. Then this spring, it was to my waist. I wanted my hair left just a little longer when she cut it, but it will grow again.

On Wednesday morning, this is what I looked like:

On Wednesday afternoon, it went to this:

I had 15 1/2" cut off and donated to Locks of Love. While styling, she cut another 2". A total of 17"! WOW!!!

Woohoo! Good for you! I donated my hair 2 years ago to Locks of Love (it was to my waist) and am letting my hair grow to donate it again. It will probably be long enough by fall to donate.
