Sunday Stills "Summer"

Our Sunday Still's challenge is "Summer". We have had a very hot, humid, stormy week. Enjoy the scenes of the past week.

Storms that flood the pasture, but help the corn to grow,

with a lovely rainbow after the storm.

The family was able to spend time swimming in the pool today,

The animals didn't get to swim. They were hot and sweaty.
The horses are covered in sweat,

Posie is panting,

and Lady decided to lay down and pant.

After posting my blog, I had to add a few more pics of the grandbabies when I was visiting them in June:

Makenzie learning to ride her mini who she calls "Pody" (for Pony)

Cousin Caden from Nebraska came to play with Makenzie in Colorado,

Check out other Sunday Still's Summer posts here.

The grandkids are so cute! Bet those dogs wouldn't mind jumping in the pool. I love the light in the first two photos.

Your rainbow shot is awesome! I feel for you with the humidity, it seems to be pretty hard on the horses.

I like all of your photos! It has been hot here in western North Dakota this past week and our creek has pretty much dried up in most places. Earlier this summer when it was hot, our horses would go stand in the creek and even roll in the shallower spots. They just found what shade they could find and toughed it out this go-round. Grandkids are great, add a horse to the mix and it gets even better!
