Sunday Stills "The First Signs of Fall"

In the last 2 weeks, most of the crops have gone from mostly green to mostly brown.

Everyone around here seemed to want to start harvest, and some tried starting last week, but there was still a lot of green in the corn leaves.  This week, crops are ready for harvest.

As well as one more crop of alfalfa. Lush and green, I sure hope they can get it dry in our cooler weather. 40-50's at night but sunny, 60-70's during the day. I think we've seen the last of 80's though.

Corn havest has started but soybeans will be next. Miles and miles of soybeans. They need to turn a dark brown and look like twigs, before they are ready for harvest.

The trees in our backyard have leaves that are just starting to turn yellow. I miss the changing colors of the forests in PA. Here is Nebraska, it seems the leaves turn yellow, then brown, then fall off. Very few of our trees have even a slight orange color.

But it won't be long before our trees have the same color as the crops! For now, I'm enjoying the cooler fall temps, with gorgeous sunny days without the humidity!

Our trees do the same thing most years, especially the ash. Your corn is much browner than ours.....it's still as green as grass.
