Sunday Stills "Your Favorite Recipe or Restaurant"

For this Sunday Stills Challenge, Ed says, "I figure since I’m home for the next 2 weeks I really have no idea what to do for the next couple of challenges so we’ll keep it simple. This week will be a food challenge so pick your favorite recipe or if so inclined go out for dinner and show us what you like about the restaraunt or if you do the recipe I’m sure the other folks will enjoy not only seeing the dish but getting the recipe..:-))

"

This week was a busy week, since we had a new grandson, Tyler Jay born on Tuesday! (Hubby is just thrilled that baby Ty has his middle name!) We had big brother Caden, 2 1/4 (do you count months???) stay with us from Tuesday until Friday, including the 3 nights! He did really well, with almost no tears at bedtime!

That means that all my pics are of baby and big brother, which I'll post next, so come visit!

This was our meals on Tuesday, LOL. Hubby and I had Runza (anyone know what they are? I think they are just here in Nebraska. They are made with cooked hamburger and cabbage in the middle of a small, soft bread dough and baked) and a hamburger on the way to the hospital. I love Runza fries!

Then we ordered a pizza and brought it home for our first supper with Caden. We also had applesauce, and then strawberries for snack before bed! These next pics may be of a snack, but after a busy horsey day for me yesterday, this is what we had for supper.

Hamburger with Taco seasoning, simmering on the stove.

Large plate of chips. I was very hungry!

Hubby spooned on the seasoned meat.

Looking good!

Shredded Cheese on top,

then melted a few seconds in the microwave. Add a very large glass of sweetened sun tea and devoured!

Then I had a glass of Merlot!

Congrats on the new grandson. :)

Put a little salad on those chips and beef and you will have nachos! YUM.

Congrats on the baby. He's about the same weight of my kids.

Sounds like a great weekend! Never heard of Runza, but it sounds.....interesting! Not too sure about cabbage, but I'm a bread-a-holic so it's got something going for it!

Diane, I know. I even had lettuce in the frig, and we always put lettuce and tomatoes and olives on this, but I was so hungry, I forgot to look! Hubby likes salsa, but I usually don't do much of that.

Congrats on the new grandbaby! I've never heard of Runza. We make taco salads too, it's one of our "we are hungry" quick meals. Nice photos, like the progression.
